RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for preventive maintenance on production equipment and uncovering root cause of malfunctions Should maintain understanding of water plant operations and maintenance to include the following equipment: Ice Makers, Compressors, Heat Exchangers, Ammonia and Freon Refrigeration Systems, Pumps, Condensers, and Compressors Instruct others in the usage of tools and equipment as needed Order supplies/inventory control of repair parts and equipment for sale Advanced application of blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation for the proper maintenance of manufacturing and facility equipment Apply advanced application of electrical and chemical safety measures and controls Repair malfunctioning equipment to company standards and ensure equipment is functioning properly and supplies are ready Actively monitor issues regarding industrial health and safety Conduct basic electrical and electronic systems maintenance without supervision Conduct production quality tests by visual inspection Maintain advanced understanding of root cause analysis and countermeasure implementation Occasionally conduct light grounds maintenance Identify and correct use of tools and equipment to conduct general facility maintenance Direct production flow based on production equipment output Facilitate advanced data analysis for root cause identification Identify opportunities for continuous process improvement and implement then when advised Perform safety checklists as required by the Safety/Risk Management Department Monitor and correct industrial health and safety issues that occur Other responsibilities as assigned Always adhere to the code of business ethics QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma Required (Associates Degree Preferred) Prior HVAC experience required 6-8 years of work experience in an industrial maintenance operation required One of the following certifications required: Journeyman Certification/License in Electrical, Plumbing, Mechanical Disciplines; Certified Assistant Refrigeration Operator; Certified Maintenance Technician Level III; Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician Possess understanding of application of blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation for the proper maintenance of manufacturing and facility equipment Must maintain a professional demeanor when dealing with vendors, suppliers and contractors Ability to memorize and quickly recall pertinent details/instructions at a moment’ s notice Should be capable of rapidly responding to emergency situations or sudden changes Physically and mentally fit, must be able to lift minimum of 45 lbs.
