PAY RANGE: $25.00 – $34.00 PER HOUR  

WORK LOCATION: GOLDEN ROAD BREWING CO.   

SHIFT: Rotating Shifts – every 60 days 

 

Shift may include: 

Sunday – Friday (occasional Saturdays)

  • 1st shift: 5:00am – 3:30pm

  • 2nd shift: 1:30pm – 9:30pm

Shift Differential: +2/hr. when you work the hours of 11:00pm – 7:30pm

ROLE SUMMARY: The Golden Road Brewery is looking for a Maintenance Technician in our Los Angeles brewery. This position will be the first responder for maintenance issues and will learn and assist for all brewery maintenance issues. They will work closely with the Maintenance Manager on short- and long-term brewery maintenance for the Los Angeles, CA and Anaheim, CA brewery locations. JOB RESPONSIBILITES: 

  • Objectives will include corrective, preventative, and predictive maintenance, and overall equipment reliability and safety 

  • Repair and maintain equipment using common sense and skills that are obtained from training and/or from manufacture supplied information. 

  • Diagnoses, troubleshoots, and repairs brewery & packaging equipment related problems such as mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic failures. Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and other tools to complete repairs.  

  • Conduct preventive maintenance on brewing and packaging equipment independently including cleaning, lubrication, oil changes, adjustments, repairs, rebuilds, and inspecting and replacing parts. 

  • Identifies necessary replacement parts and independently locates those parts in inventory. Assists in maintaining spare parts inventory through proper checkout of parts. Sources parts that are not in stock. 

  • Respond to equipment outages in a timely manner keeping operators, team members and managers advised of the situation and status. 

  • Assists in partial or complete equipment overhauls. Rebuild parts as needed using manuals and SOPs. 

  • Safely operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, vacuum pumps and test equipment utilized in the performance of job.

  • Maintain production equipment and utility systems as needed. 

  • Organize and manage corrective, preventative and predictive work orders using AMMS. 

  • Maintain detailed documentation on troubleshooting and functional testing for all Work Orders performed. 

  • Orchestrate and participate in activities to further drive technical efficiencies of our existing process. 

  • Address poor and/or unsafe performance. 

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • 2-year technical degree or equivalent work experience required 

  • Require shift work and open availability for weekday and weekend night, day, and swing shifts. 

  • May also require availability for travel to and from the Anaheim, CA brewery location for occasional shift work. 

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Maintenance Management Systems preferred. 

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. 

  • Mechanical and electrical system understanding. 

  • Basic plumbing of fluids and gasses. 

  • Good organization skills preferred. 

  • Ability to stand for 8 hours and perform repetitive motions, safe lifting of heavy objects (50 lbs.) 

  • Strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) 

  • Cleanliness and attention to detail 

  • Strict attention to safety and proper use of PPE. 

  • Ability to work in an active brewery, which can be loud, hot, or cold, wet, and buzzing with activity 

  • Willing to learn and able to grasp moderate mechanical and basic electrical principles quickly. 

  • Willing to learn new systems within the facilities.  

  • Any experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
