Maintenance Mechanic – Night Shift – URGENT NEED

Food Manufacturing facility in KCK is seeking a qualified Maintenance Mechanic to anchor their startup night shift Responsibilities -Responsible for starting up critical support and production equipment according to scheduled products.

-Support the Startup Production Team by adjusting, debugging and repairing malfunctioning facility and production equipment before production begins.
– -Quickly respond to active facility and production machinery issues.

Identify the problem and safely make appropriate adjustments and repairs.

-Perform Preventative Maintenance and Repair/Upgrade work orders as assigned.

-Submit requests for new work orders and MRO supplies to the Chief Engineer.

-Successfully transition the next Maintenance Shift with information about ongoing operation issues and prior maintenance activities.

-Assist in the removal and installation of equipment.

-Change machinery Tooling and Settings for different products.

Experience Required: -3 years or more of practical Industrial maintenance mechanic experience -Basic electrical needed -Food manufacturing experience is a plus to have Additional Skills & Experience: -Understand basic mechanical machinery (Motors, Gearboxes, Couplers, Bearings, Chains, Sprockets, etc.).

-Understand basic mechanical lubrication.

-Understand basic mechanical fabrication (Drilling, Tapping, Sawing, Forming, etc.).

-Understand basic electricity (5VDC, 24VDC, 115VAC, 208VAC, 277VAC and 480VAC).

-Understand basic electrical controls (Relays, Contactors, ACVF and DC Drives, 24VDC Sensors, PLCs, etc.).

-Understand and properly use a digital multi-meter in debugging electrical issues.

-Understand basic Pneumatics and Hydraulics (Cylinders, Valves, Regulators, etc.).

-Properly select and use the appropriate tool for the job.

-Familiarity with the use of manual and power tools and their proper use.

-Be able to perform basic plumbing and carpentry work.
