We understand that the world of life science is evolving rapidly, and we must continue to offer new products and services to meet our customer u2019s expectations.We are looking for an entry-level Maintenance Coordinator to join our team.Responsibilities Serve as the contact and liaison between the maintenance department and the plant departments Responsible for reviewing work request prior to converting to work order.
Screen each work order for accuracy, discuss the details with the originating department and supervisor to ensure that the work scope is clearly described.
Issue work orders to the responsible maintenance supervisor for execution in accordance with their established frequency from a master schedule.
Maintain backlog of work orders waiting scheduling in accordance with their priority limits.
Prepare weekly backlog report.
Generation of weekly scheduled work orders Serve as liaison between the maintenance department and outside contractors.
Assist with processing documentation of new equipment and ensure the maintenance system is up to date and accurate.
Support and Comply to the ISO14001 Environmental Management System.
Request assistance from the maintenance supervisors, or managers when conflicts arise concerning resource allocation to work load requirements.
Arrange for inspections when required and perform other coordination activities necessary for the orderly and efficient execution of the scheduled jobs by the area maintenance supervisors.
Ensure with production that equipment to be worked on will be available and ready.
Deliver weekly work orders to the area maintenance supervisors.
Discusse with them as necessary and special instructions or considerations to be observed in the execution of the jobs.
Review completed work orders and completes closure per procedures.
Perform annual archiving of facilities documentation.
Maintain close contact with the production supervisors/leads, and the area maintenance supervisors/leads concerned with the areas for which he/she is responsible.
Review with the area maintenance supervisors the actual labor expended versus estimated labor and material used for completed jobs Determine corrective measures needed to improve the accuracy of estimating and improving methods of doing work.
Keep the maintenance coordinator manager properly informed on all abnormal or critical situations.
Assist maintenance coordinator manager with any special assignments, or projects.
Make recommendations for systems and process improvements.
Assist with external and internal audits by providing required documentation.
Coordinate services with outside vendors required to support Preventive maintenance or Calibration scheduled work orders by creating purchase requisitions Follow up with maintenance supervisor on service when performed by outside vendor to ensure work is complete and purchase order is closed Maintain work order files and ensure that work orders are properly filed for audit purposes.
Requirements High school diploma or GED required.
Bachelor u2019s Degree is preferred.
Minimum of 2 years u2019 experience in a fast paced facilities or operation environment; Experience with cGMP u2019s is a preferred.
Ability to problem solve to minimize the impact on production and facilities schedules Must have working knowledge of manufacturing resource planning (MRP) based systems and maintenance management systems, especially System Applications and Products (SAP) and the Advanced Maintenance Management System (AMMS).
Must be self-starter with the ability to work independently and exercise good judgement while performing multiple tasks.
Must be able to handle multiple priorities efficiently and effectively.
