POSITION SUMMARY
The Lubrication Technician performs service and installation activities associated with Jiffy Lube automotive preventive maintenance lubrication products and services, in a safe, accurate and timely manner.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Follow Jiffy Lube International J-Team Service Standards procedures.
- Use reference materials for filter applications and manufacturers’ recommendations.
- Able to learn and use verbal bay safety commands.
- Greet Guests
- Use no handles policy.
- Complete computer-based training classes for Orientation, Basic Safety, Upper Bay Technician, Lower Bay Technician, Courtesy Technician, Guest Service, and Product Knowledge.
- Follow assigned position-specific procedures as provided by Jiffy Lube International
- Observe safety procedures in the driveway, service areas, and lounge, including PPE (personal protective equipment).
- Perform quality inspection on all vehicles
- The ability to appear for work on time.
- The ability to follow directions from the supervisor.
- The ability to interact effectively with co-workers.
- The ability to understand and follow posted work rules and procedures.
- The ability to accept constructive criticism.
- Comply with Alamitos Enterprises, LLC Enterprises Code of Ethics.
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:
- Answer phones
- Drive motor vehicles with automatic or manual transmissions (with valid Arkansas driver’s license)
- Clean facilities, tools, and equipment
- Stock shelves
- All other as indicated by management
ADDITIONAL TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
- Computer Based Training classes for Service Specialist by Jiffy Lube International tenure timeline.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Have a vision correctable to 20/ 40.
- Have Normal Hearing.
- Be able to bend forward from the waist.
- Be able to go up and down stairs repeatedly over an eight-hour period.
- Be able to stand, reach and work on autos overhead.
- Be able to lift and or move cased products.
- Be able to lift car hoods from a standing position to a maximum of 50 pounds.
- Be able to assume a squatting position and return to a standing position.
- Be able to repeat all of the above motions over an eight-hour period.
SKILL PREREQUISITE:
- Be able to speak, read and write English
- Possess basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
