Job Details

We are seeking a highly-skilled and experienced Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) to join our dynamic scientific team. This is a permanent position that offers competitive compensation and benefits, along with ample opportunities for growth and career advancement.

Evening shift available, night shift available (lead positions available as well)

Responsibilities:

As a CLS, you will be responsible for performing a variety of complex laboratory tests and procedures, ensuring accurate and timely results. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting tests and analyzing samples in accordance with established protocols and procedures
  • Maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment and instruments
  • Recording and analyzing data, and preparing reports for review by management
  • Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, including CLIA and 42 CFR 493.1489
  • Participating in quality control and quality assurance programs
  • Collaborating with other members of the scientific team to develop and refine laboratory protocols and procedures
  • Training and supervising laboratory technicians and other staff members as required

Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific field, such as medical laboratory technology or a related discipline
  • Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP)
  • Valid California Clinical Laboratory Scientist License
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital laboratory setting
  • Strong knowledge of laboratory protocols and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements such as CLIA and 42 CFR 493.1489
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and analyze complex data
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients at all levels
