Job Details
We are seeking a highly-skilled and experienced Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) to join our dynamic scientific team. This is a permanent position that offers competitive compensation and benefits, along with ample opportunities for growth and career advancement.
Evening shift available, night shift available (lead positions available as well)
Responsibilities:
As a CLS, you will be responsible for performing a variety of complex laboratory tests and procedures, ensuring accurate and timely results. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting tests and analyzing samples in accordance with established protocols and procedures
- Maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment and instruments
- Recording and analyzing data, and preparing reports for review by management
- Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, including CLIA and 42 CFR 493.1489
- Participating in quality control and quality assurance programs
- Collaborating with other members of the scientific team to develop and refine laboratory protocols and procedures
- Training and supervising laboratory technicians and other staff members as required
Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must meet the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific field, such as medical laboratory technology or a related discipline
- Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP)
- Valid California Clinical Laboratory Scientist License
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital laboratory setting
- Strong knowledge of laboratory protocols and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements such as CLIA and 42 CFR 493.1489
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and analyze complex data
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients at all levels
