Performs quantitative and qualitative analysis, such as sampling, testing, and measuring using specialized equipment. Completes the compiling, analyzing, and interpreting of results. Performs periodic equipment inspections and preventative maintenance work. Performs basic trouble shooting, by applying background understanding of processes or incidents to analyze and resolve operational problems with given procedures, in a manufacturing environment.
The incumbent will be responsible for performing formulation tasks (conjugation/biotinylation), protein determination, and QC testing of semi-finished biotinylated allergen reagents. Additional responsibilities may also include extraction and purification of allergen raw materials, data analysis, documentation review, and select day-to-day laboratory activities including equipment maintenance, monitoring supplies, and tracking inventory. Candidate must be proficient with MS Windows and MS Office, possess excellent communication and writing skills, must be detail oriented, and be able to work with a cross-functional team.
This position requires minimally a BS/BA in Biology, Biochemistry or a related discipline. Relevant laboratory industry experience and familiarity with cGMP, GLP, and GDP requirements is preferred but not required. Background in biochemistry with experience in SDS-PAGE and Western Blot analysis is also preferred but not required.
