Laragen, Inc is a biotech company specializing in genomics services. For more than 21 years, we have served academic institutions and private industrial sectors worldwide.
We are currently looking for a night shift molecular biology lab technician. The hours are Monday to Friday, 4:30 pm to 12:30 am. Main job responsibility is receiving samples, PCR reaction setup, PCR cleaning up, data analysis, operating lab equipment, troubleshooting, lab maintenance, customer support and other lab duties as required.
Candidates must live within the Los Angeles area to be considered for this position.
Required/Preferred skills:
- A BA degree in molecular biology is required
- Must have 2+ years PCR related bench experience.
- Must have a very good pipetting skill.
- Must be able to multitask.
- Must be able to work fast pace to meet deadline.
- Must have strong work ethic and motivation to grow and learn.
- Eager to learn and able to work in a team and independently.
- Extensive experience with MS Excel and computers.
- Ability to recognize trends and to remain focused and observant
- Superb dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Keen attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills and a good team player
- Good judgement in troubleshooting both bench work and lab equipments.
- Extensive knowledge of MS Excel.
