Essential Functions:

As a customer-focused technical product expert, a Reiser Service Technician will apply highly developed troubleshooting, mechanical and electrical skills, and sound knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic control systems to perform installations, preventative maintenance and repair of food processing and food packaging machinery.

Travel 70% (Mon
– Fri during the week) away from home visiting food plants on the West Coast (CA, OR, WA, MT, ID, AK, HI).

Overtime is available on weekends if desired.

Roughly 30% of your time will spent in the greater LA area.

Read diagrams, schematic drawings, engineering specifications and service manuals to determine work procedures.

Engage with customer on site, analyze equipment performance, troubleshoot to isolate problem, and determine actions needed to restore system to performance specifications.

Share information with team members, customers, and your supervisor to help prioritize and keep customer apprised of corrective actions and equipment status.

Inform customers of routine preventive maintenance techniques.

Participate as necessary in new projects to install or improve the safety and performance of existing and new equipment.

Requirements:
Two plus years of maintenance experience –
– servicing, troubleshooting and repair of electro-mechanical machinery.

Practical application of mechanical and electrical engineering principles and techniques to ensure equipment performance at manufacturers specification.

Basic knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic power systems, conveyor systems, or control systems.

Initiative, critical thinking, complex problem solving, judgement and decision making, persistence, attention to detail, adaptability, flexibility, concern for others and leadership.

Troubleshooting, installation, maintenance experience with Food Packaging or Production Machinery experience is highly desirable.

Bilingual English-Spanish skills are a bonus.
