Experienced Field Service Technician

The Field Service Technician is responsible for installation, troubleshooting, repairs and customer training on Heidelberg equipment.

Technicians take ownership of each assignment and escalate, when necessary, through to completion of assigned tasks.

The technician must have a basic understanding of control systems, components, and operation of the equipment, as well as a fundamental understanding of the tools and processes required to complete maintenance and repair activities on Heidelberg equipment.

(br( Field Service Technicians work with installation teams, riggers, other technicians, and the technical helpdesk in the performance of their duties.

(br( This position requires travel to the customers’ location to provide the services.

This position includes a company vehicle.

When traveling outside of the technician’s geographical area, all airfare, hotel, rental car and per diem expenses will be provided.

(br( Customer Service is the cornerstone of our business, and the Field Service Technician is expected to deliver personalized, consistent, competent, and proactive service support; the Field Service Technician must always exhibit professionalism.

(br((strong( Skills Required (but not limited to): (/strong((br((ul((li( Ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and operational problems on respective Heidelberg equipment (/li((li( Ability to work independently (/li((li( Ability to work as a team member (/li((li( Ability to clearly communicate with others (/li((li( Flexibility to learn and work on different types of equipment as needed (/li((li( Ability to utilize a variety of tools (multimeter, hand tools, power tools, etc.) (/li((li( Completion of paperwork and time reporting in a timely manner (/li((/ul((strong( Job Requirements: (/strong((br((ul((li( Minimum 3-5 years of experience working on bindery equipment (Cutters/Folders/Stitchers) (/li((li( Experience with Microsoft Office programs and Operating Systems (/li((li( Ability to travel as needed to complete assigned tasks (/li((li( Ability to understand and learn basic electrical concepts (/li((/ul( Must be authorized in the USA without sponsorship
