CAP is truly a great place to work!About the ResponsibilitiesAs a Maintenance Engineer Technician, you would serve as a liaison between Reliability Engineers and the maintenance groups to ensure the proper execution of routine and reoccurring maintenance activities as well as individual, extraordinary maintenance activities as required to ensure the reliable function of CAP’s infrastructure. Develop and/or execute effective Preventive/Predictive Maintenance (PM) inspection and testing procedures for CAP assets utilizing considerable experience and knowledge of CAP electrical systems and installations; as well as develop PM/Corrective from PM (CPM) task procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of maintenance and enhance the operational reliability of CAP water delivery systems.Provide support and restoration activities for Large Synchronous Motors and Generators, Transformers, Backup Power Generators Sets, Excitation Systems, Circuit Breakers, Switchgear, Relays, UPS Systems, Facilities, Cable Systems, and other Auxiliary Systems. Includes High, Medium, and Low Voltage Systems.Some of the responsibilities include:• Perform Asset Condition Monitoring (ACM) and equipment condition assessment data collection activities in the field and report findings using various reporting methods and software. ACM technologies include vibration analysis, infrared imaging, ultrasonic thickness testing, airborne/structure borne ultrasound, motor and breaker testing, and various visual inspections including the use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) and remote operated vehicles (ROV).• Verify that Equipment Maintenance Plans (EMP’s) for civil / electrical / mechanical assets are maintained, updated, and reflected in the Critical Equipment Assessment Master Schedule. Verify correctness of assets loaded in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Collect and verify that data entered for those assets is correct with Reliability Engineer oversight.• Review civil / electrical / mechanical plans, specifications, engineering scopes of work, and survey data as required to determine material requirements. Determine cut, fill, bank, swell, and compacted earth material quantification and material haul requirements, concrete, asphalt, and rebar material take-off, and identify critical spare parts for assets. Recommend appropriate stock levels and inventory locations for parts.
