Job Description and QualificationsJOB DESCRIPTIONThis position is responsible for coordinating Documentation Control activities related to equipment fabricated at Air Products’ Port Manatee Facility in Palmetto, FL.
The facility primarily manufactures heat exchangers that are used throughout the world to liquify natural gas to facilitate transportation of LNG.
Each project is unique and presents one-of-a-kind challenges.
This position is responsible for providing document control / quality data management service to a portfolio of complex and unique projects with large asset values.
The successful candidate will deliver and execute Document Control plans complying with the Air Products Standards to align with the project execution strategy and needs from both an internal and external aspect.
Provide accurate and timely document control / quality data management input to the Project Execution and Quality Control Teams and work within the applicable procedures and process workflows.
To fulfill the requirements of the position, the incumbent must develop collaborative working relationships with Global Engineering and Manufacturing (GEM), Project Execution, and Quality Control team members.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
•Achieving world class Project Document Control / Quality Data Management system for projects executed in the Port Manatee facility in accordance Air Products (AP) work instructions or project-specific requirements in the project contract.
•Utilizing the corporate Document Management Tool and facility work processes to provide reliable and consistent project document management / quality data services to ensure that we meet project requirements.
•Daily administration of the project Document Control / Quality Data Management System to process receipt, entry, coding, issuance, and return of Project and Quality documents.
•Providing close collaboration with other regional and global teams to ensure effective lessons learned, best practices and the development of work processes and procedures across the global execution teams.
•Supporting the Project Execution and Quality Control Teams during the Bid Phase to deliver and maintain competitive Document Control / Quality Control Data Management strategies and estimates.
•Reading and interpreting customer-specific Document Control and Quality requirements and developing a records management strategy and system to meet unique customer requirements.
•Liaising with the Engineering team, Project Management and Production teams daily.
•Provide support and guidance to the Project Execution and Quality Teams on the status of project document receipt, issuance, and overdue documentation.
•Support the facility with the Air Products Document Management system tool and work process support as required.
•Organize and maintain the project Document Register.
•Perform top-to-bottom audits of the Document Control process throughout the facility and report findings and solutions for improvement.JOB REQUIREMENTS:
•A high school diploma or equivalent with a minimum 2 years’ Document Control experience.
A degree is a plus (but is not required).
•Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access is essential.
Knowledge of Open Text is a plus, but not required.
•Sound knowledge, and proven skills and competencies in application of Document Control / Quality Data Management principles, methodologies and tools, supporting all phases of project execution, within a large project-oriented Manufacturing Organization.
•Self-confidence and autonomy to work independently and develop solutions to problems with minimal supervision.
•Track record of maintaining and reporting accurate document / Quality data control information and providing guidance to the Project Execution / Quality management teams.
•Flexibility to work additional hours to meet project deadlines during periods of peak workload will also be required.
•Ability to work in a team environment and maintain a positive disposition even in times of high stress and workload.
•Ability to work effectively with a global team, interfacing with team members in various countries, as well as management in the US.
