CO2 Beverage Service Technician

Position Overview

This CO2 Technician is responsible for servicing, maintaining, inspecting, and repairing various CO2 equipment and site equipment. This technician will provide general training on equipment to customers and new employees.

Essential Functions

  • Provides support to other Cryogenic technicians as directed by the supervisor.
  • Coordinate and communicate with supervisors and sales on new installations and servicing of other equipment and systems.
  • Diagnose installation errors and equipment malfunctions and make necessary repairs.
  • Assist customers with troubleshooting various equipment. Also, provide information to customers to enhance the efficiency of our product in their facility.
  • Determine the proper course of action when an improperly installed, damaged, or defective system or equipment is identified.
  • Maintain awareness of all aspects of installing, repairing, and maintaining Green CO2 Systems.
  • Provide timely and detailed status reports and records to the supervisor.
  • Coordinate with service technicians/Operations staff to track defects and develop solutions to recurring problems.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor with clients and customers, including fellow employees.
  • Responsible for maintenance and upkeep of all company vehicles and equipment
  • Maintaining adequate inventory on service vehicles, Coordinating the ordering of products with the Inventory Manager.
  • Availability to be on-call as needed, Shift and hours may vary to accommodate company needs.
  • Assist when needed in the delivery department. Must be proficient in operating all pumps and equipment on delivery trucks.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or GED required
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, CDL B, and Hazmat endorsement
  • The gas industry and cryogenic cylinder maintenance background and knowledge required
  • Must have initiative and be self-motivated
  • Must know how to read wire diagrams and troubleshoot small electrical circuits.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Computer skills such as Outlook and Explorer preferred

Physical Demands

The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 100 pounds. Reasonable manual dexterity for pushing, turning, and/or pulling of controls and valves Work in various inside and outside environments being subjected to weather changes, noise, vibrations, and job hazards. Have the ability to operate a motor vehicle, machines, and other hand tools and equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
