Job Description: Behavior TechnicianThe role of a Behavior Technician (BT) is to provide direct intervention services to individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and related developmental disabilities under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).Primary responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:Implement behavior plans and skill acquisition programs plans based on applied behavior analysis (ABA) as designed by a BCBAMaintain up to date knowledge of client(s) programming (e.G., behavior intervention plans, skill acquisition programs) and changes in programmingConduct preference assessments on an on-going basisAccurately collect data as prescribed in real-timeCollaborate with, train, and function as liaisons with outside care providers (e.G.

parents, outside agency providers, etc.) and collaborate with members of client’s clinical team as neededMaintain dignity of client while assisting with personal care which may include nutrition, personal hygiene and supporting client to look his/her bestAccurately complete Internal Incident Reports (IIR) and Mandated Reporting in a timely manner as applicableComplete all required initial and on-going staff trainingsAdhere to ethical practices and core values of CABAAdhere to standards for best practices as determined by legislation, industry standards, funding sources, and CABAFulfill all requirements to obtain and maintain a credential as a Registered Behavior Technician(RBT) set forth by credentialing body (i.E., BACB), industry standards, funding sources, and CABA standardsComplete other clinical and administrative activities assigned at the discretion of CABAWhat we offer: Paid comprehensive initial and ongoing training program of 40 hours consisting of classroom training, online training and job shadowing/observationCABA sponsors qualified behavior technicians to become Registered Behavior Technician(s) (RBT)Pay range from $20-25/hr.
