The customers of this position are the line operators and supervisors.Persons in this position are responsible for troubleshooting and repairing all manner of electrical / mechanical problems while following all Good Hygienic Practices (GHP’s), food safety and quality policies and procedures.Principle AccountabilitiesBe proactive in answering radio calls and conducting all aspects of the maintenance and repair of plant equipment and control systems.Communicate with other maintenance shifts to ensure proper pass down of maintenance related issues.Develop and maintain an effective working relationship between maintenance and other departments to ensure customer deadlines are met.Adhere to all food safety and quality policies.Develops, recommends, and implements measures to improve productions methods, equipment performance and quality of product.Monitors and enforces safety requirements.Qualifications – InternalMust work well under pressure in a very fast paced environmentAbility to work with a variety of hand toolsProblem resolution skills and proficient interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and writtenRequired QualificationsMust be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorshipMust be 18 years or olderAbility to work in a cold to warm environmentAbility to read, write, and speak English2 or more years of experience with mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.1 or more years of experience with electrical power and controls (Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), Variable Frequency Drive (VFD), and instruments) especially Allen-Bradley1 or more years or experience in maintenance in food manufacturing or animal protein industry.Preferred QualificationsPrevious industrial refrigeration experience in food manufacturing and/or animal protein industry.3 or more years of experience with mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.Familiarity with United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and Good Manufacturing Processes (GMP) guidelinesConsidered candidates will receive a phone call from a (952) area code.
