Calibration Technician

The successful candidate will have outstanding calibration and maintenance skills and will be committed to working with others to deliver best in class, unparalleled excellence in customer service and satisfaction.

Typical work hours are 7:00 am-3:30 pm; hours may vary based on business demand.

As the Calibration Technician, your daily duties for this role will include:Calibrating and maintaining pharmaceutical laboratory equipment and instrumentation such as freezers, and incubators.Calibrating process instrumentation such as temperature, pressure, humidity, etc.Utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to record calibration data.Utilizing some mechanical and electrical skills to complete assignments.Complying with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).Operating various measuring, diagnostic and testing instruments in performing calibrations.Performing other duties as assigned by Management or Lead.

Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or demonstrated equivalent.Five years of experience working in a pharmaceutical, chemical, industrial, or related laboratory environment, or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience.Ability to pass a Tuberculosis test prior to employment or be medically cleared for Tuberculosis by a medical professional and be able to maintain annual negative results.Ability to pass a medical evaluation for respirator use and be able to successfully complete a fit test for each type of respirator needed for the position or for an approved alternate respirator that provides equal or better protection from identified hazards.Ability to obtain a security access badge at our client’s location.Ability to work overtime, holidays, weekends, and alternative work schedules.

Ability to obtain an appropriate driver’s license issued by the State Department of Motor Vehicles, as requested.

Must be a United States citizen or permanent resident.

Some physical requirements include:Regularly lift to 50 lbsRegularly climb ladders, steps, and scaffoldingRepetitive motions: bend, stoop, squat, kneel, stretch, reach, wrist movementWalk extensively throughout the plant during shiftWork at an accelerated pace in emergency conditionsAbility to differentiate colors pertaining to wire color-codingSpecial Requirements: Wear steel toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hats, and other Personal Protective Equipment as needed.

Pfizer Site Requirement:All employees and contractors working at a Pfizer site must be fully vaccinated against covid-19 by November 15, 2021, unless there is an approved medical or religious exemption.

“Fully vaccinated” is defined as receiving the full dose therapy of an EUA approved covid-19 vaccine and being 14 days post the completion of the required dose regimen.

Preferred Qualifications: Associates Degree or Technical School Certificate for Instrumentation / ElectronicsISA level 1 Certification.Experience with digital controls systems, PLCs, etc.Experience in calibration of Process Instrumentation on equipment such as Autoclaves and Glassware Washers.Experience in calibration of Laboratory equipment including Incubators, Freezers, Refrigerators, Centrifuges, Ovens, and/or Shakers.Experience in calibration of instrument transmitters including Pressure, Pressure Differential, Vacuum, Temperature, RH, CO2, Speed, Flow, and Level.
