This position is for Sub Component Engineering Design under Boeing Global Services.

Sub Component Engineering Design provides DE engineering support.

We provide engineering solutions and reverse engineering services for obsolescent parts and components unavailable to source from 3rd party suppliers Skills/Experience: Some Mechanical systems ie.

Hydraulics or Fuel/ Propulsion or ECS/PneumaticSystem interfaces Functional schematic CATIA/ENOVIA/IVT PDM/PRIMS MD and 7-seriesSome electrical background 1) Logical systems like WIRS/Mapper 2) Wire diagrams 3) Some Electrical/Mech systems componentsQualification and cert.

Position Responsibilities: Performs DE responsibilitiesPlan and perform mechanical analysis work at the sub component and spares level to assure total compliance with mechanical integrity and requirements.Providing solution for an entire Boeing portfolio inside a problematic supplier Reviews and approves analysis.

Guide a team of less experienced engineers and teach DE methodology.Work closely with Team manager and Leads to assist other team members.

Work with project engineers, stress, suppliers and procurement to ensure approval of analysis.Present team independently during interaction with suppliers Work and coordinate with other engineering groups to ensure requirements are met.

Develop analytical process to improve effectiveness, quality and efficiency.

Experience in design release processes, policies and procedures, handling tooling issues, supplier driven changesBeing able to Interpret Industry/Company Standards & Processes This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R.

§ 120.15 is required.

US Person includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):5+ years of experience in Mechanical System DE ie.

Hydraulics or Fuel/ Propulsion or ECS/Pneumatic and EEMust have a Mechanical System DE Certification5+ years of experience in a commercial aircraft environmentBachelors degree in Mechanical2D & 3D design with some knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, GD& T.Experience indesign release processes, policies and procedures, handling tooling issues, supplier driven changes.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): 8+ years of DE experience in commercial aircraft environment3+ years of experience in Production, Sub-Components or SparesMaster’s Degree in related Engineering discipline1+ year of experience leading engineering teams Relocation: This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation.

Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Travel: Occasional travel (10%) may be required in support of the program and customer.
