Job Description JOB SUMMARY Alternative Adult Day Services, Inc. is a community-based adult day service program. The prospective employee must be willing to obtain an RBT certification or already RBT certified. Our job is to ensure that an exceedingly high quality of therapy is being provided to the clients on a day-to-day basis. To use best practice in ABA clinical care so that clients progress in a quantitative and qualitative manner in identified targeted areas in order to facilitate an increased quality of life. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The Registered Behavior Technician is responsible for implementing ABA services to the clients they are assigned. Some of the duties are: Assist clients in accessing their communities and engaging in community inclusive, integrated activities with typical peers in natural settings. Willingness to work in the community with 1:1 mentoring. Client appointments are completed as scheduled. Procedures in treatment plan and/or behavior support plan are followed and implemented as outlined. Clients are continually making progress based on quantifiable data as outlined in treatment plan. Accurately collect behavior data including A-B-C, count, frequency, duration, latency, inter-response time, event, and interval-based recording. Establishes and maintains therapeutic relationship by pairing self as a reinforcing entity and building the value for the client of social interaction with the RBT. Therapeutic environment is conducive to client success. Proper compliance to all Related company policies and procedures Collaborates with BCBA/BCaBA and treatment team members to provide treatment effectively and without disruption to the environment or other individuals in the environment. SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, memos, business correspondence and all other mental health related documents. Ability to write with clarity, conciseness, and accuracy. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and internet California driver’s license, a good driving record, a reliable car, proof of auto insurance Pass FBI/DOJ clearance through Live Scan Must be able to establish positive interpersonal relationships with a broad range of people. Effective oral and written communication skills Ability to solve complex problems and deal with a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Demonstrate skills in problem solving techniques. Able to work with minimal supervision. CLINICAL SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE Can effectively utilize ALL DTT components. Consistently implement motivational systems as recommended. Exhibits knowledge and implementation of a wide range of curriculum. Exhibits knowledge and implementation of a wide range of behavior plans. Accurately collect and condense data (behavior and curriculum) Currently an RBT (completed the 40 hours and passed the exam) Implement feedback. Consistently attend mandatory staff meeting Consistently exhibits professionalism. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) preferred and will be compensated accordingly. We will provide paid RBT training for candidates meeting other experience requirements with the expectation that the RBT credential will be obtained. Be at least 18 years. High school diploma or above. Some experience in social work, childcare, and/or support staff industry providing direct services to residents in an agency or facility using ABA techniques preferred. CPR/First Aid CPI Paid Training Mileage reimbursement Paid Sick Time Off Mentoring/Job Coach RBT training and continued education to maintain credential. Must have the ability to pass health screening. Job Type: Full-time, Monday – Friday, 8am – 2:30pm Salary: $20.00 to $24.00/hour License: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Language: English, Bilingual a plus
