Job DescriptionJob Description Tire TechnicianJob Locations US-CA-PacoimaJob ID 2021-2924# of Openings 1Category Maintenance Overview & Essential Job FunctionsPosition Summary:The Tire Technician reports to the Fleet Maintenance Manager and Fleet Maintenance Supervisor.
The Tire Technician is personally responsible for providing proper tire inspections, repairs and replacements on the existing operational fleet.
Essential Job Functions:Performs repairs on tires only and must have and/or be able to pass TIA certification.
Properly dismount and remount tires and wheels securely on vehicles and equipment.Completes daily inspections of all wheel positions on vehicles and equipment.Performs safety inspections and/or repairs of DVIR reported issues.Operate all related equipment and tools as trained.Maintain proper housekeeping of assigned work area daily.Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Environmental Demands Required Qualifications: High School Diploma and/or GED1 2 years experience in heavy truck equipment & light duty truck tire maintenanceMust be able to work overtime if needed.Perform all tasks safely and in accordance with applicable OSHA rules and regulationsConsistently behaves in a manner that is appropriate and professionalAbility to read and comprehend service and technical informationValid Class C Driver’s LicenseAcceptable Driver’s RecordAbility to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations Preferred Qualifications: Bilingual English / SpanishTrade School CertificationASE Certification Physical/Environmental Demands:Physical:Standing, walking, seeing, hearing, & smelling continuously.Problem solving, oral communication, analytical ability, concentration, exposure to heavy machinery, & eye/hand coordination, & handling continuously.Bending, reaching, stretching, crouching, & lifting 50 Lbs.
