The compensation range for this role is:

 $44.13 to  $48.78 per Hour

Final compensation for this role will be determined by several factors including but not limited to; minimum and preferred qualifications, knowledge, skills, abilities, education, experience and location.

 

 

Education and Experience Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required. 8 years Aviation Maintenance experience to include 4 years of experience working on Gulfstream mid/large size aircraft required. Corporate aircraft experience preferred. Other FAA Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic Certificate required. Valid Driver’s License required.

Position Purpose:

Expert Aircraft Technician that works independently and in a leadership role as necessary to perform a variety of aircraft mods and mtc functions. Technical expert on in-service aircraft and perform repairs on installations that require a high degree of accuracy and timeliness. Function independently on a team and in a leadership role when required.

Job Description

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:

  1. Perform required. periodic mtc and necessary servicing of all acft mechanical systems. Must demonstrate the ability to consistently perform assigned maintenance task within the quoted or standard CMP time .
  2. Provide work direction for assigned techs. Promote high standards of quality through instruction and example .
  3. Act on behalf of lead in their absence and assume duties and responsibilities (to include leading team meetings) when assigned .
  4. Coordinate with inspection to ensure compliance with internal and FAA inspection and documentation requirement .
  5. Properly identify (tag) customer property and equipment. Store aircraft components and other customer property securely and safely .
  6. Follow SOPs and JSAs when operating GSE. Operate and supervise use of special support equipment in removal and installation of major components .
  7. Coordinate movement of aircraft as required.
  8. Act as mentor and assist in training new employees in CMPs, maintenance manuals, SRMs, IPC usage, flight test installations, Solumina, RS compliance records, and all maintenance of major components. Sign off OJT records as required.
  9. Coordinate with other departments to arrange for the overhaul or repair of customer property as needed .
  10. Participate in SMS, including investigations and participation in Site Safety Council .
  11. Assist or lead problem solving initiatives and process implementation. Support Lean activities .
  12. Assist in problem solving to establish or correct planning methods for aircraft projects by utilizing standard techniques, procedures, and criteria .
  13. Assess strengths and weaknesses of assigned members. Provide diverse learning opportunities .
  14. Maintain a current knowledge of industry standards, vendor information, and all other procedures, pubs, and a general knowledge pertaining to product support maintenance .
  15. Assist in maintaining work schedules .
  16. Maintain current knowledge of warranty and parts programs to ensure proper processes are followed .
  17. Identify risk and recommend mitigation options to leadership .

Additional Functions:

  1. Use material tracking system to create parts demand and charge labor to correct work orders and item numbers. Apply 6S and Lean Initiatives to keep shops, hangars, and aircraft work areas clean .
  2. Implement and apply Lean/CI processes to all areas of responsibility .
  3. Properly use and maintain company-provided tools and equipment. Return items to designated storage area after use. In support of aircraft cert and final phase testing, may include flight tests on aircraft .

Perform other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements:

  1. Advanced knowledge of inspection and maintenance procedures for various aircraft models and systems within each aircraft product line.
  2. Advanced knowledge of pertinent technical reference materials (maintenance manuals, IPCs, Service Bulletins, structural repair manuals, engineering drawings, ADS, etc.).
  3. Advanced knowledge of FAA regulations, process specifications, Repair Station and Quality Control manuals, and company policies and procedures.
  4. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
