Scope
Houlihan Lokey, a leading global investment bank, is seeking an Associate to join the firm’s growing Marketing team. The Marketing Associate will work cross-functionally to contribute to the implementation of strategic marketing programs, and will also be responsible for managing ad hoc marketing projects as they arise. The ideal candidate has excellent project management skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, and a keen attention to detail. The Marketing Associate is responsible for providing regular project status updates to the Marketing Manager.
Responsibilities
- Project manage the approval and publishing process of various types of content and digital marketing campaigns (e.g. quarterly newsletters, reports, white papers, annual studies, and whiteboard videos).
- Develop and coordinate the distribution of internal and external communications, including but not limited to: content marketing campaigns, event communications, media-related announcements, new officer hires, and deal announcements.
- Collaborate with the Events team to market and execute conferences, webinars, receptions, and other client events.
- Provide support for officer speaking engagements and sponsorships through collateral development, branding, and other means.
- Work collaboratively with financial officers to leverage LinkedIn as a marketing vehicle.
- Assist in monitoring and overseeing website content; facilitate maintenance and updates on a quarterly and ad hoc basis.
- Strictly adhere to workflow management and quality control methods required to produce compliant work products.
- Manage an annual calendar of marketing activities and contribute to a comprehensive monthly and quarterly report. Must have the ability to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, and analyze and disseminate the results.
- Ensure the maximization of marketing efforts; identify potential remarketing, cross promotional, and business development opportunities.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3-5 years of marketing experience.
- Software proficiency with MS Office (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite a plus.
- Ability to manage numerous projects across multiple stakeholders simultaneously within compressed timeframes.
- Ability to work independently on a project as well as collaboratively as a team player.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to interact with all levels of management.
- Must be a self-motivated and results-oriented person with a proactive approach to executing new projects.
- Flexible and open to changing priorities; ability to adapt to a rapidly changing market.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a professional services firm, preferably within the financial industry.
- Prior experience leveraging a CRM platform.
- Prior experience leveraging a marketing automation platform.
- Prior experience using a project management software within a team.
- Prior experience and comfort working with senior executives.
