Head of Marketing

We are looking for an interdisciplinary and passionate Head of Marketing to direct, manage and uplift our marketing team in the pitching, planning, and execution of a growing portfolio of client projects.

The Head of Marketing position is a critical, executive-level position, that owns the day-to-day management of our project portfolio and ensures all aspects of our marketing projects are delivered on time, within scope, and at the highest level of quality. Additionally, this role manages our sales pipeline and acts as the primary point of contact for all potential clients.

A successful Head of Marketing must be a detail-oriented self-starter, excellent communicator, and comfortable managing a small team in an ever-changing startup-like environment. The ideal candidate will have a combination of traditional agency experience, startup experience, technical proficiencies and a drive to not only deliver results but strive to constantly improve internal processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Successfully plan, manage and drive on-time delivery of a portfolio of digital marketing projects using agile project management processes.
  • Act as the account manager and communication touch point for high-profile clients including film festival directors, musicians, film directors, and more.
  • Act as the ‘closer ‘ for all inbound sales opportunities.
  • Provide up-to-date, accurate, meaningful reporting of project status, resource capacity, and costs.
  • Quickly and effectively identify project delivery issues, generate potential solutions and present them to upper management.
  • Act as the conduit between project teams, clients and senior management.
  • Guide teams from the perspective of an Executive Producer and, as needed, dive into the weeds to quickly and effectively generate copy, build ads, modify art templates and engage with online communities on behalf of our clients.
  • Oversee hiring and performance review process alongside CEO.

Requirements

  • Proven 5+ years of experience as Head of Marketing, Marketing Manager, Director of Marketing or a similar role.
  • 3+ years of account management experience
  • 2+ years experience closing landing sales opportunities
  • Outstanding understanding of shifting content trends in the digital media landscape, and platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with experience leading small teams of 2 – 10 direct reports
  • Based in Los Angeles, CA or willing to commute to Los Angeles.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A lifelong learner who is willing to get their hands dirty and help the team hit ambitious milestones.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals from a variety of diverse backgrounds and/or with different points of view.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Passionate about all sides of film, TV, and music video production
  • Technically savvy individual with deep understanding of web and conversion tracking technologies
  • Experience with Agile project methodologies
