About the Role

As Head of Brand Marketing and Stores, you will be responsible for leading the campaigns, channels, and marketing programs that are primarily focused on brand-building.

Storytelling and creating visceral experiences will be the primary tools in your toolkit, using them to bring the brand to life and connect with our audiences on an emotional level.

On a daily basis, you’ll balance strategic, creative, and analytic thinking: you’ll use your creativity to ideate what we could do and strategy to decide what we should do, while also making sure we get the creative executions right and using analytics to understand what performs.

Reporting to the CMO, the role will be highly cross-functional, working closely with other marketers and the executive team, plus Creative, Merchandise, Product–groups that all impact the customer experience.

The ideal candidate will be a leader/doer who has broad marketing experience with a proven track record of executing and building high-performing teams.

Responsibilities
Set marketing vision: develop the company’s vision of the Dolls Kill customer and our unique value proposition and translate into strategic marketing efforts Innovate, concept, and execute experiential marketing programs, from smaller events in-store to activations at music festivals and touring cross-country events Lead the organic social media marketing team, telling the story of the brand, product, company, and community through a high-volume of authentic content produced in-house Lead brand marketing campaigns which tell the brand’s story and present our unique point of view on cultural moments like Pride and Halloween Lead product marketing campaigns which bring the brand to life through our product stories Oversee operations of the retail store(s) and assist in development of future stores Lead the influencer marketing team, delivering placements for both brand (high quality) and acquisition (high volume) purposes Innovate brand and product storytelling approaches across all channels Oversee the execution of promotions Work closely with the Creative and Creative Ops teams to develop world-class creative Leverage metrics and measurement extensively to optimize the performance of all marketing activities Grow organic awareness, chart path to accelerate social channel, organic search, and other organic impressions Build, lead, and maintain vitality of a world-class team that is inspired by the brand and the unparalleled opportunities that we offer Present everything from half-baked ideas to finished work to the CEO and executive team
Requirements
12+ years of relevant experience Strategic marketer skilled at translating the brand into messaging and creative for a variety of channels Experience with fashion, ecommerce, and/or edgy brands a strong plus Expert knowledge of social media, content creation, and brand marketing Experience with retail store operations, experiential marketing a plus Great communicator, team builder with strong leadership skills; ability to collaborate across teams A startup person: ability to operate in a fast-moving environment that requires one to be hands on with large scope Flexible and adaptable: comfortable working through ambiguity and managing ever-changing priorities Self-starter who can manage multiple priorities at once and do new things with little oversight A positive, motivating leader, able to manage and nurture a large team
