Field Marketing Associate / Brand Ambassador

Essential Functions

BRAND AWARENESS, PRODUCT TRIAL, & SALES

Responsibly and professionally seek and build strategic partnerships that align with brand values and goals.

Create brand awareness and positive impressions of the product by engaging consumers through sampling/distributing product and communicating product features in grocery stores, outside events, trade shows, and surprise and delight moments.

Focus on push-to-purchase or educate on availability.

Ensure brand talking points are communicated effectively with consumers.

Obtain leads for specialty accounts when appropriate and communicate with manager.
EVENT/DEMO SET-UP & BREAKDOWN

Execute all activity as assigned.

Responsible for event set-up, sampling, and breakdown.

Ensure demonstration area is clean, organized, and correctly set up according to the instructions provided and in compliance with all safety/sanitation procedures.

Communicate pro-actively with Manager.
REPORTING/TRAINING/PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT

Accurately and timely complete and submit reports online; call reports, expense reports (if applicable), photo submissions, etc.

Attends initial training via on-line and conference call (specific date TBD) as well as possible ongoing monthly product training, team meetings, client trainings, etc.

as a requirement.
PRODUCT & ASSET MANAGEMENT

Receive and/or confirm product delivery at warehouse as designated by supervisor.

Ensure integrity and temperature of product.

Manage organization and cleanliness of storage space, product, and marketing assets.

Communicate orders as needed with FMM.

Receive marketing assets as necessary.
OTHER

Must have vehicle for product seedings, events, and other duties.

Will be reimbursed for time and mileage.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Field Marketing Manager.
Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

Some college preferred with minimum 2 years equivalent applicable work experience.

Significant experience and/or interest in healthy snacking, marketing, demonstrations, sales, or retail/grocery is highly desirable.

Available to work weekends and weekday evenings.

Ability to interact with management, clients, and consumers in any setting.

Candidates must have excellent communication and people skills, be natural problem solvers.

Be professional and must have clean hygiene in appearance.

Able to work independently with little or no supervision.

Able to stand and talk for entire shift.

Friendly and outgoing personality, enthusiastic, and energetic.

Capable of set-up, event activation, breakdown.

Ability to communicate the details of the event and the participating brands clearly and effectively to consumers.
Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.

This position is sometimes sedentary and requires sitting for long periods of time.

This position frequently requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move items up to 40 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
