We are looking for a creative, motivated content marketer who will be a key contributor to the execution and governance of content to help fuel the overall content strategy at BlackLine.
The person in this role will work closely with the content marketing team and cross-functional marketing team leads to identify content gaps, priorities, and goals and translate requirements into straightforward content that appeals to target audiences to help drive brand awareness and quality conversions.
The Content Marketing Specialist should be an adept writer with experience developing content across the content marketing funnel and in multiple formats, including but not limited to web copy, eBooks, blogs, white papers, digital ads, social media posts, video scripts, and email.
This person will help ensure the quality, consistency, and accuracy of channel-specific content, overall alignment of marketing content with the BlackLine brand, and proper organization and distribution of marketing content to promote content utilization among internal stakeholders and support the tracking of key performance metrics.

You’ll Get To:

• Create, optimize, update, and edit channel-specific content across the content marketing funnel
• Maintain the global content marketing calendar in alignment with marketing priorities and in support of overarching business initiatives
• Enforce adherence of marketing content to BlackLine content and brand guidelines
• Drive and manage end-to-end processes related to content you create, including the identification of content goals and metrics for success
• Administer and manage BlackLine’s content management platform to enforce adherence to content governance standards and policies
• Monitor and report on content performance to fuel strategic content recommendations
• Collaborate with marketing teams to identify and evaluate content gaps and opportunities for content optimization
• Keep up to date with content trends, audience preferences, emerging technology, and industry standards

What You’ll Bring:

Years of Experience in Related Field: 2+
Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field or equivalent work experience
Technical/Specialized Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Experience developing content across multiple content mediums (e.g., blogs, videos, etc.)
• Experience working with cross-functional teams to distill complex requirements and ideas into clear, actionable content across the marketing funnel
• Experience creating and managing editorial calendars

We’re Even More Excited If You Have:

• Experience working on a content team in the B2B software space
• Understanding of content governance best practices
• Knowledge of or experience in Accounting a plus

Placement within this range depends upon several factors, including the applicant’s prior relevant job experience, skill set, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, BlackLine also offers short-term and long-term incentive programs, based on eligibility, along with a robust offering of benefit and wellness plans.
