Join us! Superpedestrian is seeking a Community Engagement & Marketing Lead (SoCal) to own local partnership strategy and community engagement initiatives in the Los Angeles and San Diego regions. The successful candidate will play a critical role in our growing micromobility operations in Southern California, and is deeply committed to social equity and to expanding access to new and sustainable transportation options. What you”ll do: The Community Engagement & Marketing Lead will be responsible for executing a local stakeholder outreach program in close collaboration with the regional operations, policy, and marketing managers. This will include building out in-market community initiatives including: local business/nonprofit/campus partnerships, field marketing events, safe riding activities, and more. The Community Engagement & Marketing Lead will also serve as the primary liaison between members of the community and Superpedestrian and will be responsible for relaying feedback to improve Superpedestrian”s community oriented service. What you”ll bring: 2-3 years in community engagement, outreach, event planning, grassroots organizing or field marketing roles Strong interpersonal skills – ability to build relationships and turn difficult conversations into productive solutions. Experience communicating conscientiously with diverse partners and community members is a must. Experience and working knowledge of dynamics of city governments, community organizations, neighborhood councils, and nonprofits in Southern California, preferred. Experience in community marketing fundamentals, event planning, grassroots marketing, and local media relations. Demonstrated experience working with community organizations is highly desirable. Problem-solving skills, including the ability to handle difficult conversations with community members and identify productive solutions Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of effectively presenting to groups and via email Spanish fluency (spoken) strongly preferred, though not required Strong preference for candidates located in Los Angeles or San Diego areas.
