eResonate is a Playa Vista based, online social music platform for venues, talent, and fans to connect. We combine cutting edge technology with modern safe social media ideals into one platform to help talent grow fans, reach and revenue. This is a game-changing technology for venue owners who need to maximize connections with great local talent and their extended fan network. We are looking for a CMO who agrees with our mission to revolutionize the music industry, and create a market leader in the live-music streaming space.
Position:
The CMO is responsible for overseeing the planning, development and execution of eResonate’s marketing initiatives. Reporting directly to the CEO, and collaborating with the CTO, the CMO”s primary responsibilities are to help us create our advertising platform and also develop a strategy to generate brand partner leads and to cost-effectively acquire new customers. The senior leader of the Marketing department will be responsible for leading the team to meet goals and achieve excellent results. This high-impact senior management position comes with significant responsibilities, so candidates should demonstrate leadership abilities that can succeed in such a role.
Objectives:
- Provide prospects and opportunities for acquiring customers and generating MRR
- Reduce Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC)
- Promote advertising platform, establish category leadership and expand brand equity
Responsibilities:
- Identify, advocate, and improve brand values, ensuring they are communicated across a variety of media and sales channels in a consistent and appealing manner
- Establishing and executing the brand marketing plan, increasing brand awareness, driving website traffic, and engaging users to drive them to our sales channels (website, social media, brand partnerships)
- Listen to the trends of the market and direct the market research efforts of the company
- Define marketing strategies to support the company’s overall strategies and objectives
- Create a practical marketing plan and oversee its implementation day-to-day to drive traffic and sales
- Organize the marketing functions and operations (branding, communications, etc.) to convey the company”s distinctive voice and lead to meaningful business results
- Coordinate marketing efforts across channels, including campaign design, public relations, and others
- Create a solid network of strategic partnerships
- Building a high performance, high engagement marketing organization: Establish the vision for high performance marketing
- Oversee and lead the marketing activities of the board and executive team. Assist the company”s senior leadership in better serving the market and customers by providing market insights
Requirements and Competencies:
- Passionate about music and fit with the Purpose, Values and Mission of the company
- Proven experience as chief marketing officer or similar role
- Relevant experience leading marketing efforts for streaming, broadcast, or branded experiences
- Extensive experience developing marketing strategies and business plans (branding, promotions, etc.)
- Solid understanding of market research and data analysis methods
- Grasp of consumer behavior trends, generate creative ideas, and optimize current/future campaigns
- Outstanding communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal abilities
- An aptitude for fast learning and deep technical skills, tempered by a keen business sense
- Leader who focuses on people and builds successful teams through collaboration and creativity
- Excellent collaboration and organizational skills, excelling at both high-level thinking and execution
- Ability to apply marketing techniques over digital and non-digital channels
- Understanding of different business disciplines (IT, finance, etc.)
- A leader with both creative and analytical capabilities
- History of deep nuanced understanding and expertise in product
Preferred Experience and Education:
- 7-10+ years experience in marketing, growth marketing, and product marketing
- Senior marketing leadership at a $10M+ company
- Domain expertise in small business sales, marketing software
- Category creation
- Experience working with branded experiences
- Knowledge of CRM and marketing automation technologies and methodologies
- Significant experience marketing to and selling to brands.
- Prior experience in a strategic role owning positioning, messaging, pricing, and competitive analysis
- BSc/BA in business administration, marketing, communications, or relevant field
