Chief Marketing Officer

We’re rapidly growing and looking for a data-driven, best-in-class Chief Marketing Officer to lead our marketing team. As CMO, you’ll be responsible for growing Company’s customer base, increasing revenue and profits, driving engagement and retention, and leading all marketing strategies. We are a small, but mighty team, and are looking for someone who has the tenacity, vision, and passion to hit the ground running during this exciting time. 

Responsibilities

  • Set marketing goals and objectives
  • Plan, implement and manage entire marketing strategy
  • Run marketing campaigns and other growth initiatives end-to-end: you will design experiments, develop campaign strategy, and drive execution of the campaign through to completion
  • Own the customer journey and identify opportunities for growth and optimization
  • Drive profitability and revenue growth
  • Determine, track, own, and report marketing KPIs
  • Investigate and test new channels to communicate with our existing customers
  • Build and manage strong marketing team, including sourcing, hiring, onboarding, and overseeing high quality vendor partners (creative, analytics, paid media, SEO, etc)
  • Strategize and run A/B tests and multivariate tests across marketing activities and channels
  • Manage the marketing budget and provide weekly updates on performance.
  • Work closely with Product, Sales, Social Media, and Finance teams
  • Leverage data to make evidence-based decisions
  • Regularly produce and present reports on marketing activities and performance

Requirements

  • 5-10 years experience in marketing, ideally ecommerce. Beauty industry experience is a plus.
  • A love for data- you can identify and size different growth opportunities and the various ways to meet them
  • Growth mindset- you love learning and seeking out challenges
  • Strategic thinker who can develop comprehensive, data-driven marketing plans
  • Able to operate independently and effectively in a startup environment
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills- you’ll be overseeing a large vendor network and small in house team
  • Experience with growth hacking techniques- experiment relentlessly to determine how to best allocate marketing spend/resources.
  • Experienced with marketing & analytics tools (such as Google Adwords, Google Optimize, Facebook Ads, etc)
  • Experience at a startup is a strong preference
