Account Executive ? DIGITAL/PRINT/EVENTS Advertising Sales

TheWrap is seeking an ambitious, full time SALES person to join the advertising department as an Account Executive located in West Los Angeles.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for sales, excellent communication skills, a client-focused mentality, strong work ethic, and an ability to balance a large number of tasks in a fast paced environment.

As TheWrap is a less than 50 employee company, this candidate must be flexible and willing to wear many hats and perform non-job specific tasks. We are looking for a STRONG closer.

The Account Executive is responsible for cultivating new business while selling to existing Entertainment clients. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of media sales and brand strategy required to cross-sell

TheWrap?s platform including digital, print, event sponsorships, and custom activations. Cold calling and in-person prospecting is expected. We look for someone who provides excellent service in order to develop long term relationships with their accounts.

Primary Responsibilities

· Achieve sales, revenue, market share and profit goals.
· Develop and implement sales strategies, activities, and negotiations to maximize advertising revenue.
· Close sales by prospecting and developing relationships, analyzing needs and opportunities, developing effective proposals, negotiating terms, documenting activity and thoroughly following up on issues pertaining to the sale and delivery of services to customers in a timely manner.
· Build and maintain relationships by cultivating positive working relationships with clients and agencies, aligning client sales strategies with strategic marketing positions, and successfully partnering with clients to meet their sales and marketing objectives.
· Develop new business opportunities with existing and new accounts.
· Stay up-to-date on competitive activity within the entertainment trade and consumer publications.
· Understand The Wrap?s product portfolio to provide client deliverables.

Requirements:

· Bachelor?s degree or equivalent related experience
· 3-5 years of digital sales experience A MUST. Entertainment related sales preferable.
· Established relationships within entertainment industry, media agencies, and networks a plus.
· Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills
· Extensive knowledge of the industry and trends impacting business
· Ability to work effectively with complementary divisions in other locations
· Excellent sales and negotiation skills
· Excellent time management and organizational skills
· Strong strategic and consultative selling skills
· In-depth knowledge digital advertising and the entertainment industry
· Strong working knowledge of MS Office, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
