– Marketing (Christina Bourg (00064703)) Work Location: Louisiana Emerging Technologies Center Pay Grade: Temporary Job Description: LSU Online & Continuing Education is seeking a Social Media Manager that can manage all brand social media accounts on a daily basis, pull and analyze data, create both copy and visual content to be shared across platforms, and speak for the brand.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and has experience with running and managing brand social media accounts.

Job Responsibilities: Manage and monitor brand social media accounts on LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube.

40% Design and create social media graphics and videos to be shared across platforms.

20% Write copy and communicate with consumers through social media.

15% Ensure social media content is high quality and aligns with our brand.

10% Pull, analyze and organize social media data and statistics.

10% Stay up-to-date with social media trends and platform updates.

5% Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Management, Digital Media, Communications or related field preferred.

2-5 years of social media managing.

Specific Experience
– Knowledge of social media platforms and online tools (including Canva & Hootesuite).

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects at once.

Strong graphic design (using Canva) and copywriting skills.

Experience extracting, organizing, and analyzing data.

Familiarity with using a project management system (such as Basecamp).

Continuously learning and staying up to date with what is new, trending, and upcoming in the social media realm.
