We are currently looking for an intern to support various improvement projects in our Manufacturing Engineering departmentEngineering Intern to assist engineers with the design, development and manufacturing of advanced composite structures.
Tasks include design, 3D modeling, drawings, production support, product testing, manufacturing instructions, data recording and entry.
Assist configuration management as needed.Primary Responsibilities: Assist in design modeling (Solidworks Catia) of products, carts, and fixtures.
Conduct trade studies of design alternates.
Product stress analysis (closed-form potential FEA) Develop, document and monitor process flow and layout.
Development and changes of engineering and manufacturing work instructions.
Research and enter data into Manufacturing Modeling or other systems.
Apply theoretical knowledge and engineering techniques to help solve basic engineering problems.
These may include product design, manufacturing, process, materials, lean processes, etc.Build and assemble engineering development products, marketing components or operations tools and fixtures.
Assist in conducting or conduct product tests (mechanical tests, flow tests, material tests etc) Write test plans and document test results.
Write product, equipment or process specifications under engineering direction.
Provide engineering assistance in R D programs.
Compile and analyze data using Excel or equivalent.
Provide preliminary disposition for Discrepancy Reports and drafts for Engineering Change Notices.
Route engineering documentation and parts to various organizationsEXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/SKILLS Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
Emphasis or interest in Quality Engineering preferred Junior or Senior Level GPA of 3.0 or higher Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Skills Effective verbal and written communication skills The ability to complete multiple projects on schedule with minimal supervisionAs a Department of Defense Contractor we are required to hire US Persons.
