(formerly NantKwest, Inc.) is developing cell and immunotherapy products that are designed to help strengthen each patient’s natural immune system, potentially enabling it to outsmart the disease and eliminate cancerous or infected cells.What you’ll be doingThe Specialist, Manufacturing Training candidate, is responsible for performing a wide variety of activities supporting the training program for our cell therapy operations. The candidate would be responsible for creating and assigning training curriculum, providing hands-on and instructor-led training, and performing proficiency audits for the cell culture technicians. This position offers a unique opportunity to immediately impact and lay the foundation for processes and procedures in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This position will be located at one of our clinical manufacturing facilities in El Segundo or Culver City, CA, and reports to the Manufacturing Manager – GMP Support.You will be responsible for…* Responsible for conducting, facilitating, scheduling, and documenting manufacturing training, managing the training program following business needs and regulatory requirements.* Communicate with the leadership team to assess and develop training needs for the manufacturing team.* Plans training schedules and conducts training as needed.* Analyzes and resolves work issues and problems related to training and assists employees in solving work problems related to training.* Responsible for organizing data and preparing appropriate documentation, including presentation materials, for assigned projects.* Write and review incident reports on training deviations to determine root cause and identify/implement related Corrective/Preventive Action to prevent a recurrence.* Demonstrate continuous improvement for increasing job knowledge and proficiency related to cell therapy and technical understanding/problem-solving capability.* Participate in regular site and Quality/Manufacturing meetings.* Participate in audits and regulatory inspections as assigned.* Other duties as assignedWhat skills & experience you’ll bring to us* Bachelor’s degree in a biological science, chemistry, or related science field.* Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical industry.* Practical knowledge of biologics cGMP manufacturing, ideally including recombinant protein and cell therapy cGMP manufacturing.What we need from you* Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.* Proficiency in computer use and Microsoft Office applications.* Proven ability to work independently and analyze and resolve issues that impact quality.* Attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.* Ability to operate in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary industrial environment while managing multiple priorities.* Exceptional organization and time-management skills.
