MPTF (Motion Picture & Television Fund) is a 100 year-old charitable organization dedicated exclusively to the health and well-being of entertainment industry workers and their families. MPTF provides social and charitable services, quality healthcare, senior care and services, and much more. We are currently seeking a Social Worker for our Geropsychiatric Unit.

Requires:

? MSW from an accredited school of Social Work.

? Professional license issued by the CA Board of Behavioral Science Examiners (LCSW).

? 3-5 years’ experience as a Psychiatric Social Worker, preferably working with geriatric patients in a psychiatric facility.

? Must be able to work Saturdays and Sundays, day shift and occasionally fill in for weekday shifts as requested.

Job Requirements:

This position works with patients and their families, providing orientation, guidance and therapeutic services to assist patients and families in coping with psychiatric hospitalization. Also, this position performs psychosocial assessments, care planning and implantation, resource development, supportive counseling, and referral to other service providers and serves as primary therapist in group treatment of patients.
