Our client, an A-rated Insurance Carrier, is seeking to add a strong Senior Workers’ Compensation Claims Examiner with strong knowledge in Nebraska Law. This would be a fully remote position. Duties will consist of handling mid to complex Nebraska Workers’ Compensation Lost Time claims from inception to close. Qualified candidates must possess a strong knowledge in any one or more of the following states: NE, MN, and/or IA Workers Compensation Law and have the ability to work remotely.
- Handle mid to complex Workers’ Compensation claims from inception to close.
- Pending will range from 90 – 120 claims.
- Negotiate settlements with injured workers and attorneys.
- Ensure appropriate investigation of the underlying facts and circumstances are carried out, proper experts are retained and utilized where necessary, selection and utilization of counsel is appropriate, proper negotiation strategy is employed.
- Provides direction to legal counsel and manages litigation process.
- Attend settlement conferences on serious injury claims.
Requirements:
- 5 to 10+ years of experience handling Workers Compensation claims.
- Experience in NE, MN, or IA
- Must have experience handling litigated files.
- Excellent Customer Service and Organizational skills.
- High School Diploma; Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required.
Salary/Benefits:
- $80,000 to $98,000 annual base salary plus 10% Target bonus
