Candidates will be working on a hybrid schedule of three days in the office and two days remote.This position pays $40.00 per hour on a w-2 hourly basis.Summary:The main function of a Claims Adjuster is to investigate, analyze, and determine the extent of insurance company’s liability to determine how much compensation is needed/required.Job Responsibilities:Analyze first reports to determine nature of loss, coverage provided, and scope of damage; promptly contact insuredsInspect and document damageMeet with insured or their representative, promptly and properly develop the file to provide accurate and timely investigation and loss analysis.Maintain an active diary; monitor diary to achieve timely development of file and timely disposition of the claimRecognize and pursue recovery where possible; adhere to all statutoryregulations and unfair claim practices actEffectively communicate with all internal and external customers, travel outside territory to assist other offices with catastrophic events; and directly handle mold claimsSkills:Knowledge of insurance contracts, investigative techniques, legal requirements and regulations.Ability to work with a wide spectrum of peopleDevelop and maintain strong business relationships with internal and external customersKnowledge of current construction methods and costsAbility to write estimates, use estimating software, and complete a dwelling and/or commercial building valuationExcellent written and verbal communication skillsCustomer service orientationStrong analytical and negotiation skills.Education/Experience: High school diploma or Bachelors degreeTwo years of Workers Comp/Indemnity experience requireThese would be experienced California WC claim adjustersThe interview process will include an initial telephone or Zoom screening.Please let me know your interest for this position, availability to interview and start for this position along with a copy of your recent resume or please feel free to call me at any time with any questions.
