This position will be located at any North America Consumer site (Skillman, NJ; Fort Washington, PA; Lititz, PA; Los Angeles, CA; Clear Water, Florida; Markham, Canada, etc.). The External Manufacturing Director will lead in deploying best practices, driving standardization and continuous improvement across the External Manufacturing (EM) network, supporting Wipes, Combination Products, Wound Care, Oral Care, Liquids and Packaging technologies in North America. This role will lead a team of 6-10 people, supporting approximately 20 External sites managing 1 Billion dollars in sales/300+ million units. This role will be accountable to deliver reliable supply, cost savings, and high product quality through successful influence and relationship management of the EM network. The Director will interface with key internal stakeholders in Source, Plan, Quality and Network Strategy to define the EM operating model strategy and executing projects that build sustained service capability. • The External Manufacturing Director will be responsible for new site start-ups within NA for key technologies. • The Director will play a critical role in helping to shape the core capabilities in EM to manage Combination products (Consumer/Med Device). • The Director will lead a team in executing short and long term solutions that will support the customer service. • The individual must have a thorough understanding of the EM network, consumer supply chain processes, financial levers, manufacturing knowledge and capacity management to remove constraints and implement processes for optimal utilization while minimizing impact on service and cost. • This individual will be responsible for scoping out projects, assessing benefit and impact, prioritization and stakeholder alignment, budgeting and project tracking. The individual must be able to develop and attract talent. Qualifications+ A minimum of a Bachelors’ degree is required; advanced degree or MBA is preferred. + At least 10 years of business experience is required, with experience in manufacturing, operations management, or supply chain required.+ Prior experience in internal/external manufacturing is required. + Experience in a regulated healthcare environment is preferred.+ An expertise with multiple product platform technologies, such as solid dose, liquids or engineered products, and the manufacturing processes is preferred. + Demonstrated experience and success in people development and building high performing teams is required. Experience managing direct reports required.+ Demonstrated track record in developing successful data-driven business growth or functional area growth strategies, including benchmarking within the applicable industries is preferred. + Demonstrated effectiveness in establishing and maintaining meaningful relationships with internal and external business partners to meet strategic business needs is required. + The successful candidate must possess a demonstrated successful functional and business leadership and possess a demonstrated effectiveness in influencing and working with senior leadership. + Ability to use marketplace and supply base knowledge to establish competitive advantage is required. + Success working in a matrixed environment is required. + The successful candidate must demonstrate strong Credo behaviors. + Ability to travel up to 20-25% primarily US is required.
