For Victorian based employees, the compliance date is 26 November 2021.All other global Boeing locations do not have a vaccination requirement at this time.Boeing Defense & Space (BDS) is currently looking for an Associate Manufacturing Engineer to join the Production Engineering team located in El Segundo, CA.

Position Responsibilities: Assist in the development and implementation of production and tooling methodologies.Participate as a member of an Integrated Product Team (IPT) in the integration of technical solutions.Work with others to lead the manufacturing readiness review process.Conduct hardware and build planning reviews.Resolve technical problems and assists in the implementation of new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and concepts.Assist in the implementation of Lean principles and process control.Interface with professional associations, suppliers, IPTs and internal customers to develop robust manufacturing processes.Provide technical direction to shop floor technician regarding manufacturing methods and best practices.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.An interim and/or final U.S.

confidential clearance Post Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience): Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.1 or more years of experience working in a manufacturing or production engineering role.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills & Experience):Less than 1 years of experience working with satellite products, space flight hardware, or aerospace hardware2+ years of experience working with space electronics or aerospace flight hardware2+ years of experience using ERP/MRP to develop and release of work instructions and non-conformance dispositions2+ years of experience using common six sigma tools such as control plans and process failure modes and effects analysis Typical Education/Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.G.

Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.G.

Master).

In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
