Warehouse Shipping and Receiving

Position Summary: The Warehouse Shipping Clerk provides assistance in shipping and receiving in the warehouse department by preparing all outgoing shipments per work-orders; ensuring that the shipment has the correct product that matches the work-order, customer, and address.

The position requires attention to detail and extreme organizational practices due to the intricate processes that must be followed.

This position also requires overtime.

Essential Position Functions and Responsibilities:This position includes the following essential functions, but is not limited to them:Confirm all shipments are packaged to arrive safely, right product to right customer with right address, and right label.Understand company and customer s industry standards for shippingInform management and supervisors of product shortage or damageAccurately package, label and weigh items to be shipped and ensure proper shipment method and shipping chargesArranges pick-up and drop-off: If packages are shipped and/or handled by a third-party service such as UPS, FedEx, or a contract hauler the shipping clerk will schedule and monitor the exchangeTracks, traces, and updates the status of outgoing shipmentsAccurately enter the shipment details into the computer systemResponsible for proper paperwork and documentation for all shipments and receivingTrouble shoots shipping issues and customer complaints and work to solveProcesses shipping and delivery reportsEngage with drivers and customers with a positive attitudeResponsible for Kanban services, processing a pick list, proper storage of good, processing incoming goodsUnderstands Transaction processes, MRP, material planning, customer portalsRequirements and QualificationsSuccessful experience working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detailForklift and/or overhead crane certification is strongly preferredOperates shipping computer and other general warehouse/office equipment6 months warehouse, logistics, and customer service experience preferredCollaboration with company departments for shipping deadlines and prioritiesStrong sense of time organization and urgencyKnowledge of EXCELMaintain inventory of shipping essentialsEnsure adherence to environmental management and systemsRequires a flexible and cooperative attitude, which includes when asked to perform other duties or tasks that are not listed within this job description but within the scope of this positionRequires communication skills both written and orally in the English languageRequires excellent safety practices, which includes keeping a clean work areaInterpersonal skills are essential and vital to maintain an organized warehouseEffectively process change through company feedback and reviewsRequires personal responsibility and accountability meeting workmanship standardswith little supervision to complete assignmentsMust maintain the confidentiality of all projects, customers, and companyAbility to lift up to 50 poundsPhysical Requirements and HazardsThe employee will be required:Standing: working with machinerySitting: computer workRepetitive movement of sorting and packingLoading and unloading trucks using a forklift upon direct hireLifting no more than 50 pounds alone and assisting in team lifts of more than 50 poundsContract to DirectAble to pass a drug screenAble to pass a background checkDay shift 7am to 3:30pm Monday through Friday with potential overtimePay$15/hr DOE
