Job Objective:
Maintaining warehouse facility in safe operating condition according to Food Safety and OSHA guidelines; addressing immediate operational and/or safety concerns, and respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed.
Essential Job Functions:
The essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to, the following:
Performs PM procedures on a scheduled basis, completes required forms and keeps log of all maintenance work.
Performs minor repairs of all buildings and warehouse equipment using a variety of power and hand tools.
Inspect and lubricate dock levelers, roll-up doors and slide doors, inspect/repair racks and replace broken parts.
Replace broken windows, repair doors and locks, repair concrete walls and floors, repair and install guard rails and posts with anchors, etc.
Install minor electrical wiring and equipment, replace and repair wiring, as needed, repair electrical equipment, lighting and ballasts, replace faulty electrical switches, repair refrigeration equipment.
Repair and replace plumbing fixtures, unclog drains, weekly drain PM, wash down cold storage rooms, etc.
Assists with the renovation/remodeling of buildings; repairs plaster and drywall; paints building structures.
Responds to emergency maintenance requests as required.
Forklift repair experience a plus
Required Skills and Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED with the ability to read, write and communicate work issues in English.
Experience in warehouse maintenance work, preferably in a produce or food related facility.
Ability to operate forklifts and scissor lifts.
Certification is necessary.
Demonstrate skill with power tools and welding equipment.
Must be able to lift to 60 pounds and stand for prolonged periods.
Must be able to have full use of both hands and fingers, i.e.
simple grasping.
Working knowledge of similar operations in the produce industry.
Ability to work effectively as a team member; high level of dependability and work ethic.

Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees.
Ability to calculate numbers and fractions and to interpret miscellaneous drawings and schematics.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
Work Environment:
The noise level is the work environment is usually moderate.
Temperature may vary according to season and work site.
Minor travel from one location to another will be required.
