Facebook is seeking a Visiting Applied Researcher to join the Enterprise Products team, an organization that develops and maintains scalable products that power the Facebook enterprise.
Enterprise Product Applied Research team is composed of applied quantitative and computational experts using machine learning, statistics and operations research to bring in step-level improvements in efficiency and scalability across the entire suite of enterprise products.
The term length would be at least 6 months and the ideal candidate should already have a deep background in machine learning.
- Build data driven models leveraging state of the art ML algorithms for solving large scale enterprise problems
- Land concrete product impact by integrating the models into the FB’s Enterprise Products
- Work cross-functionally to define problem statements, collect data, build analytical models and deploy them at scale
- Design and optimize ML services for Enterprise Products
- Perform research into improving existing ML systems for Enterprise products
- Publish work in top tier conferences
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Currently has or is pursuing Ph.D.
degree in quantitative field (e.g.
computer science, engineering, operations research, electrical engineering, statistics, mathematics and related fields)
- Holistic understanding of modern machine learning algorithms
- 2+ years of experience/research interest in machine learning
- 4+ years of experience in programming with C/C++/Python
- Experience communicating/collaborating with other researchers/engineers
- Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
