Requirements
Experience: Up to 2 years or more of experience in Transportation/Logistics or food/beverage manufacturing.

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

Computer Skills: Experience with ERP, specifically Microsoft Dynamics 365 is highly preferred.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) is required.

SharePoint proficiency is also preferred.

Experience with Transportation Management Systems is preferred.

Language: Bilingual, English and Spanish is preferred.

Job Description

The Transportation Clerk is responsible for scheduling and tracking all outbound, freight appointments and customer delivery appointments, and communicates daily with Carriers, Brokers, and internal Supply Chain departments to ensure customer orders and pick-ups are scheduled accurately and efficiently.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Tracks, schedules, and follows up on Carrier pick-up and deliveries to ensure timely service.

Compiling, entering, and reporting data on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to Carriers, Brokers and internal customers.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Takes initiative and proactively seeks opportunities for improvement Proficient written and verbal communication skills Excellent attention to detail and data entry skills Ability to coordinate, prioritize, and manage multiple deadlines Ability to follow-up, and escalate issues to the appropriate party Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize the workload of assignments with department priorities.
