About the job Our Richmond manufacturing facility is growing and is adding a brand-new team leader to our lineup, and we’d like to hear from you Our team leaders coordinate, plan, and support the daily work of the team and shift in the warehouse.

Our facility is climate-controlled and we follow 5S manufacturing standards.

Base pay starts at $17.50 per hour and goes up with experience and based on the type of production work that you do.

Team Leads additionally receive stipend pay of $1.50 per hour.

We also offer an annual production-based bonus program for all full-time employees.

Team leads generally work Monday through Friday, plus overtime as scheduled.

As a part of the team, you will: Responsible for creating and maintaining a clear system of stock locations and identification in the Factory and at outside storage Manages the team of material pickers who supply components to the internal customer (SUs), in acc with the daily production plan Manages timely refill of the primary bin locations Controls ordering and delivering material from outside storage to the main production facility Responsible for maintaining item location in the Warehouse, coordinating the standard procedure with other associates in the department.

Weekly SOP audits for the warehouse transactional processes like receiving, bin transfers, etc.

Ensure that all actual storage locations exist in ERP and are used properly in the actual transactions.

Identify items without a designated location and set up them as a part of item set up.

Continuously implement the best possible way of components material handling process based on double ABC analysis.

Work on a regular basis to optimize inventory in terms of optimal storage locations, making proposals to the management to improve and expand storage locations Control the proper use of the storage racks, identify all the possible damages of the racks, and drive a repair or replacement process.

Conduct double ABC-analysis of the inventories and make proposal to decrease/optimize number of articles stocked based on the statistical number of picks.

EA: Run this activity in a liaison with Buyers Take charge of 5S process in all stock locations, arranging monthly audits of the Warehouse and driving actions to improve 5S monthly.

Actively contribute to reduce reserve for slow-moving and obsolete items in stock Work proactively on the non-moving items and consult for next steps.

Make proposal for improvement and reduction of excessive inventories
– be an active participant of the monthly review of slow-moving items.

Conduct accurate physical counts of items stored.

Maintain all records associated with inventory.

Perform investigations on discrepancies and report to Unit Managers.

Generate and analyze daily inventory reports.

File all records relating to inventory, ensuring activities entered in Jeeves, the system of record for the facility.

Make necessary updates in Jeeves for incorrect finance/functional location, description changes, and any missing/incorrect information on the items Identify and analyze cycle count errors and provide “root cause” analysis Track and analyze the scrap transactions, and submit the weekly report with reasoning Reconcile inventory levels to actual count Perform slot maintenance
– i.e., re-palletizing material, labeling locations, and moving items to new locations as needed Proposal Factory and Warehouse process changes to minimize resources spent (labor, space, time) on the inventory management, be an active contributor to improve working procedures in the Factory and Warehouse Other tasks assigned by Manager What you know You have a high school diploma or GED, and: 1-2 years of warehouse experience Basic Personal Computer skills An ability to lift up to 60 pounds Fork truck/ crane operations is a plus, but not required High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
