Supply Chain Logistics Specialist

An aerospace client is looking for a Supply Chain Logistics Specialist who will synthesize customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledges technical, schedule and cost constraints. Location: El Segundo, CA 90245 Position: Supply Chain Logistics Specialist Pay Rate: $27.92/hr to $34.92/hr. on W2 (DOE) Duration: 12 months or longer Schedule: 9/80 Responsibilities: Prepare and tender SOFO-10 for multiple programs and classified programs. Submit DD250’S to WAWF, and tender shipment utilizing DTMS, ITMS, and FedEx online application. Print approved DD250 and pair with original to be shipped after they are signed off by DCMA. Coordinate dedicated truck shipments as requested by various programs in addition to classified shipments. Responds to client needs by answering e-mails, calls, tracking and moving shipments. Monitors and ensures on-time pick-up and delivery. Support Receiving on any international Parts that require special handling. Provide support to import on uploading documents to the file repository. Researches and resolves customer or supplier issues. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service & problem-solving skills. Other duties as required and assigned. Update training documents Scan work to remote teammates Print / match up documents for outbound shipments from remote employees. Obtain required system access for SOW. Basic Qualifications : U.S. Citizenship required. Bachelor’s degree with 6 months experience, or a High School diploma/equivalent with 4 years’ experience in a Logistics and/or Import/Export role Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Ability to obtain and maintain required certifications related to hazardous material handling and disposal. Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Security Clearance at the Secret level. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or, master’s degree Aerospace & Defense experience Experience with the use of Transportation Management Systems (TMS) applications Current DoD Secret Clearance Current Hazardous material Certification (i.E.., IATA or HazMat Certification) Knowledge of logistic elements; supportability, inventory management and logistics support.
