The School of Nursing and Health Studies (SONHS) has an exciting opportunity for a temporary Research Assistant (Part-time) to work at the Coral Gables Campus.

This position is for a research assistant to work under the direction of the Assessment Core Manager from School of Nursing and Health Studies (SONHS) the at the University of Miami.

Principle Duties/Responsibilities in and outside campus: Screen potential participants to verify study enrollment eligibility criteria and enroll participants in accordance with study protocols under the supervision of the facilitators and assessment core manager Actively recruit potential participants Assist in the administration of REDCap questionnaires for data collection at baseline and follow-up assessments Travel with own transportation to off-campus sites, including primary care settings Establish and maintain working relationships with the research support manager and university personnel Responsible for maintaining accurate data on all record keeping forms Participate in all training activities Make phone calls to contact families for assessments Transport data collection equipment Handle computers, laptops, and other equipment Perform other duties as assigned Conduct outside activities with families participating in the study intervention Minimum requirements: High School Diploma Current, valid Florida driver’s license Be willing to use own transportation for work purposes Experience working with adolescents.

Be flexible with his/her work schedule and/or able to work with open schedule Speak English and Spanish At least one year experience working in research setting and/or experience working with customer service Must possess strong interpersonal verbal skills Basic computer skills and experience working with basic software such as Word and Excel is essential Be willing to undergo required trainings and possess ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with study venues (e.g., pediatric primary settings) and the communities in which they are located The University of Miami is an Equal Opportunity Employer
