Supports the efforts of the Production Manager to ensure the timely release of job packages and shipment of products.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES Accepts job packages from Engineering.
Releases work orders/drawings to procurement to obtain PO for release to outside vendors.
Works with Inventory on staging of materials and with Shipping for planning trucks for pick-up/delivery.
Releases work orders for in-house fabrication and machine shop.
Receives and closes work orders from work being completed.
Uses the LX and IDF systems to track parts for both in-house and outside vendors.
Keeps addendums and correct revisions of drawings on shop floor.
May assist with distribution of documents, payroll, etc Establishes priorities for orders depending on production lead times and customer requirements.
Coordinates with production and engineering to verify that the schedule will work.
Use capacity planning and maintain work centers.
Communicates with production to make sure the schedule is maintained and to solve scheduling problems.
Operates the ERPLX system to access purchase orders and enter information.
Processes and distributes weekly schedules and orders.
Assembles and distributes shop packets.
Processes change orders by making computer entries and notifying production.
Prepares and presents scheduling reports for management.
Orders necessary materials for production by using the LX MRP report.
Sets up and maintains planner records and CIC records for all new items.
Prepares and maintain special tracking reports, such as small business and annual spend.
Resolve discrepancies, such as invoices, packing list, and other vendor related issues.
Filing and document control of purchase orders and other supporting documentation.
Performs other duties as assigned by management.
