Part-Time (On-Call) Office Clerk

Overview:

The Opportunity:

This is an assignment based part time on call direct hire role with IST Management Services, performing office services work 8-30 hours per week at $15.00 per hour.

Minimum assignment length one full day (8 hours, 1 hour lunch), assignment lengths may range up to multiple weeks.

Hours will range from M-F 7:00 AM
– 5:00 PM.

No nights, no weekends.

Accepting all assignments not mandatory.

All locations will be centralized around the Los Angeles, CA area, no more than one location per day.

Position will involve cross training for potential to go full time.

Business professional dress code.

Hourly Compensation: $15.00
Responsibilities:
Providing support to locations in the Los Angeles area
Operating mail, copy and duplicator equipment
Maintaining the highest levels of customer care while demonstrating a friendly and cooperative attitude
Typing correspondence, filing, copying, entering data, word processing, sending and receiving faxes, sorting mail and other administrative tasks as assigned
Shipping and receiving
Ordering supplies
Picking-up and delivering mail, parcels, copy jobs and faxes to customers
Lifting large bundles of mail, overnight packages and shipments of paper
Handling time-sensitive material like confidential, urgent packages
Maintaining copier equipment
Demonstrating flexibility in satisfying customer demands
Adhering to business procedure guidelines
Taking direction from supervisor or site manager
Participating in cross-training
Maintaining all logs and reporting documentation; attention to detail
Adhering to all safety procedures
Must be flexible to perform all duties as assigned including mail runs, package processing, and conference room set-ups
Qualifications:
A valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation to and from work
High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
Customer Service/ Hospitality/ Retail background preferred
Excellent customer service relationship management skills
Understanding of reception and mail operations
Professional appearance and demeanor
Excellent computer skills
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Ability to effectively work individually or in a team environment
Competency in performing multiple functional tasks
Ability to meet employer’s attendance policy
Lifting up to 50 pounds with aid
Willingness to cross-train for other job functions
