As a Logistics Specialist, you will partner with Walt Disney World Procurement Services, Walt Disney World Merchandise, Walt Disney World Distribution Services, and all Disney Cruise Line (DCL) operating areas. You will be part of the logistics planning team with primary function for coordination and movement of information and product from origin to destination. To include, but not limited to: logistics systems management, supplier relationship management, client relationship management, supply chain partner relationship management, transportation daily flow, freight audit/payment, and logistics projects to optimize costs, drive improvements, and meet customer service policy commitments.

You will report to Logistics Mgr.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and coordinate daily transportation requests from suppliers and internal partners to/from vessels and island

  • Responsible for freight payables, including auditing and processing invoices for all carrier partners

  • Partner with Supply Chain Logistics, Trade Compliance, and external partners to ensure the seamless coordination and planning for all modes of transport: ocean FCL, ocean LCL, drayage, air, TL, and LTL

  • Partner with DCL Sourcing Specialists to ensure PO data accuracy while collaborating with Expeditors to track standard shipping and/ or facilitate expedited requests

  • Support logistics projects as needed e.g. carrier bids, carrier performance, network optimization and other analytical tasks

  • Identify opportunities and offer recommendations for process improvements

  • Maintain/update Disney Cruise Line Logistics operating guides, routing guides and other training materials

  • Review logistics reports and identify potential issues/opportunities

  • Participate in cross-training initiative and back up DCL Logistic team members as required

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2 years’ experience in logistics related position

  • Experience in international logistics or cruise industry a plus

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adapting to

  • Proficient computer skills Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and several databases

  • Working ERP knowledge e.g. SAP, ORACLE, AMOS

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Exceptional attention to detail and good organizational skills

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or similar
