Job Description Summary Develop advanced logistics feasibility and cost solutions for wind turbine components transported from manufacturing facilities to customer project sites.
Job Description Responsibilities Develop optimal logistics solutions for movement of wind turbines from manufacturing facilities to customer project sites, identify any needed infrastructure modifications and assess risks.
Manage carrier route surveys to support logistics optimization Develop cost estimates for wind turbine logistics, including infrastructure modifications.
Support the development of site road specifications as needed.
Program manage logistics solutions for new wind turbine products, including truck, rail and barge modes.
Work with a cross functional team (Sales, Customers, Project Management, Carriers, Engineering, Direct Sourcing) to perform and report out the above responsibilities.
Support critical process and performance metrics across the logistics team.
Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 10 years in the wind turbine logistics industry) Desired Characteristics Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
Wind Turbine Logistics Experience, Preferred Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.
Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
Established project management skills.
