Logistics Clerk

RESPONSIBILITIESThe primary responsibilities of this position are to provide data entry and receiving support to the Inbound Receiving teams, Planning and Inventory Management teams, Customer Support teams as well as support the advanced landed cost (ALC) data collection and input functions, manage the collection and storage of shipping documents and communicate appropriate transportation information across the supply chain. Additional opportunities to participate on project teams within Planning & Inventory Management and SCI organization will become available as initiatives are developed.POSITION SUMMARYThe Logistics Clerk is responsible for Tracking and Tracing of import shipments, to update and maintain dates current in company ERP system.+ Provide clerical and data entry support to Inbound Logistics team.+ Review and analyze significant amounts of shipping data to perform system dates current,+ collect and organize the shipping documents related to each entry and review document packets for completeness.+ Scan and save packing list, country of origin, commercial invoice, Material Test Reports, and any other commercial documents adjoining the shipment to the Companys public drive.+ Receive shipping confirmations and other shipping information from suppliers and update relevant fields to reflect current dates.+ Process and file all necessary paperwork related to inbound logistics on a daily basis.+ Complete additional miscellaneous projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.Required SkillsQUALIFICATIONS+ Experience with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel and Outlook are required.+ Excellent attention to detail and history working in high volume data entry environment.+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required for interacting at all levels within the organization.+ Detail oriented with the ability to work independently in a proactive and anticipatory manner.+ Demonstrated ability to multi-task, assign effective priorities to tasks and to operate with a certain level of autonomy is needed.+ Ability to exercise high degree of professionalism.Required Experience+ A High School Diploma or GED is required for this position.+ Previous general inventory planning experience would be beneficial for this position, however it is not required. Most training will be acquired on the job.
